Description:
This drug development seminar is designed to provide an introduction on formulation development for biotherapeutics. 


Topic: What's possible for protein formulation?

Speaker: Hung-Wei Chih, PhD, Senior Manager, Pharma Technical Regulatory, Genentech Inc.


Dr. Hung-Wei Chih joined Genentech, Inc. at Early Stage Pharmaceutical Development Department in 2005. He is an expert in antibody/antibody drug conjugate analytical and formulation development. He has substantial experience in liquid, lyophilized and sustained-release formulations and in all aspects of process development. Dr. Chih is currently a Senior Manager in Pharma Technical Regulatory at Genentech.  Dr. Chih received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of Michigan in 2001.

The Chinese Bioscience Association (CBA) has been established in the Bay area since 1997. During this period, CBA has held hundreds of scientific conferences and seminars focusing on emerging trends and cutting edge technologies in the bioscience field that attracted great participation from the Bay area biotech community. Each year, in addition to our annual conference, CBA plans minimum of four quarterly scientific seminars, host activities to promote member’s well being like co-hosting job fairs, and several fun social events like our popular summer picnic/BBQ.
